Windows
I can see through those windows. Those windows, of stained glass. Windows lit from within.
Glowing not by candle light. A stronger light, though soft and warm. The flame unwavering.
Bright and embracing. Like the embers of a fire, newly re-kindled. Nurtured by the breath of a kindred heart.
The rise of spark into flame. A fire fed by all passions within. Passion for life, for love.
Comfort is there, acceptance and patience. I see into those windows. Those windows of stained glass.
The color of the sky. The sparkle of sapphire and clarity of crystal. The depth of the sea.
Through those windows I feel warmed as by a fire. Brightened by the life within. Embraced by the warmth it holds.
Through those windows I can see. This is the place I want to remain. Warmed by the light of that fire.
Revived and refreshed. At peace, and so welcome. Embraced by the fire of love.
I see this in your eyes. Your windows of stained glass. They are open to me.
I see the fire of your soul. I feel the embrace of your heart. I feel the warmth of your love.

Nice poem,it was a pleasant read indeed!
Really beautiful, Akeejaho. Great imagery and stained window metaphor. Thanks for sharing something so personal. Love to see more of your poetry.
I'm always up for an unconventional take on love poetry and this little gem of a poem takes the prize. Awesome how you contrast inner and outer light, talking on two levels simultaneously, delivered with utter directness and simplicity, well done! Blogging this on over to my poetry blog for others to enjoy, thanks for sharing it with us!
Beautiful and very, very touching.
Many regards and thank you for this so nice poem...
Great imagery! I lived in Minnesota for over two years and I loved standing by the wood-stove, looking out the window on the world. Thanks for the nostalgia
